Austin Tub Surgeon Warranty Information

Austin Tub Surgeon offers the leading warranty in the industry! Be wary of companies offering warranties extending beyond 5 years, as they often have no plans to stay in business to uphold such promises. Austin Tub Surgeon guarantees that all tasks we undertake will be free from de-lamination, which includes cracking, peeling, or any defects in workmanship not caused by negligence or misuse by the client, for FIVE (5) years from the completion date*. Should any of our work require a touch-up within the scope of this warranty, we'll provide all labor and materials at no extra charge.

Austin Tub Surgeon will NOT be responsible for:

- Damage resulting from objects placed on the refinished surface, such as suction-cup bathmats, pillows, soap dishes, or similar items. We provide a slip-resistant surface as an optional addition to our tub service.

- Damage from using products not meant for acrylic surfaces, like Comet, Ajax, Kaboom, or any abrasive cleansers, acids, toilet bowl cleaners, and so forth.

- Damage due to abrasives like comets, abrasive sponges, steel wool, sandpaper, or any gritty cleaners or objects.

- Damage from the bathtub being in contact with or exposed to water within the first 24 hours post-refinishing.

- Damage from tools, ladders, or other hefty items being placed in, dropped onto or knocked against the tub.

- Austin Tub Surgeon isn't liable for any dust particles that might settle in the tub as the new coat dries. Most particles trapped in the drying layer usually come off during regular cleaning. Tampering with spots isn’t covered.

- We are not accountable for damage resulting from property owners' removal of taped and papered fixtures. It's best to be patient and careful when removing any tape or paper after waiting 24 hours.

- Issues like rust, corrosion, mineral buildup, spot repairs, and all other surface conditions aren't covered by the warranty. Any fixtures reglazed for commercial or rental uses have a warranty period of one (1) year. Warranties provided by Austin Tub Surgeon are NOT transferable to other parties. Normal wear and tear, such as scratching, gloss finish degradation, or staining due to use, cleaning habits, or water conditions is expected.

*Residential Bathtub and Tile refinishing comes with our 5-year warranty. Sink refinishing has a 2-year warranty. All Commercial refinishing services have a 1-year warranty.
